Blaine Greteman
Is Oklahoma State’s first Rhodes Scholar. He received his B. A. in English in 1998. After earning his M. Phil. from Oxford in 2001, he was hired as a writer by TIME Magazine’s international division and as a commentator on British television, offering an “American perspective” on current issues and events. In 2003, Blaine returned to the United States to begin working on a doctorate at Berkeley, where he currently is writing his dissertation. (In the photo he is sitting in what is purported to be Henry James’s favorite chair in the Berkeley English department library.) Active in politics, Blaine served as Policy Director for Congressman Brad Carson’s 2004 Senatorial Campaign and at present is employed as a political consultant for VR Strategies.
