Paula Anca Farca
was awarded her B. A. in Romanian and English Literatures and Languages from West University of Timisoara, Romania and received an M.A. in British and American Studies from the same institution. In 2003 she earned a second M. A. from Oklahoma State, where, at present, she is a Ph.D. candidate working on a dissertation titled Routes to Roots: Contemporary Fiction by Indigenous Women Writers in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Paula has had four articles accepted for publication in scholarly journals and has presented papers at a number of conferences, including the Twentieth International James Joyce Symposium in Budapest, Hungary. In January 2007 she was named the recipient of the Clinton Keeler Fellowship, an award given to the outstanding doctoral student in the Department of English.
