An
author society dedicated to fostering communication among scholars
of Henry Adams
In our second decade
Founded
in 1993, the Henry Adams Society is a network of scholars and readers
interested in the life and works of Henry Adams and his circle. As
of May 2002, the HAS is a free society enrolling anyone who asks
to be a member and recognizing as continuing members anyone who ever
joined. The Society is affiliated with the American Literature Association
and organizes a panel at the annual ALA Conference. Although we have
never pursued official listing as a Modern Language Association Society,
we have on occasion facilitated the formation
of Special Session panels that have subsequently been accepted for
inclusion on the national convention program.
