ALA 2008: Call for PapersThe Henry Adams Society will sponsor one session at the 2008 American Literature Association Conference. In view of recent book-length studies that consider Adams the historian, this year's theme is history: The History of the United States during the Administrations of Jefferson and Madison, Adams and the problem of historical sequence (especially in the late work), Adams and specific histories--republican government, women, religious symbology, church architecture, science, applied technology, armaments, etc. Please direct inquiries to John Orr at orr@up.edu.
