Mischelle Anthony
Assistant Professor, Wilkes University
PhD Oklahoma State University (2000)
Early American Literature
"Just as I had to balance my creative work, my research, and my class work during my doctoral studies at OSU, I also have had to balance my campus activities, teaching, and scholarly activities at this liberal arts college where I have my career. I find fulfillment in this balance rather than in one area of my life.
I give credit to my mentors at Oklahoma State's English Department for setting me on the publishing track in my field. Edward Jones, Jeffrey Walker, Robert Mayer, Richard Frohock, and Lisa Lewis both modeled for and gave support to my scholarly endeavors. Working with some of the top scholars in my field matters to my teaching now and to my own authority in the classroom, on campus, and at scholarly conferences. " ~Mischelle Anthony, March 2006
